An award-winning pianist, educator, since 1983, she has been a laureate of 21 national and international
competitions across Europe and the USA, recognized in categories including Piano (solo), Piano Duet,
Chamber Ensemble, Accompaniment. She is a four-time Grand Prize winner in Vienna (Austria),
Amsterdam (Netherlands), Lisbon (Portugal), and Berlin (Germany), and a First Prize laureate in Warsaw
(Poland), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Vatican City (Italy), London (United Kingdom), and New
Orleans (USA). Her achievements have been honored with numerous cups, medals, orders, and
diplomas. In 2016, she defended her Ph.D. thesis on Piano in Chamber-Instrumental Works of
Armenian Composers and was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 2021.
She is the author of over 40 scholarly articles and teaching aids, with research focused on contemporary
Armenian piano music.
With a teaching career spanning over 25 years, Dr. Tamiroghlyan has guided students to win more than
90 awards at competitions worldwide. She has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician,
and accompanist in Armenia, Europe, and the USA, and her work is featured in numerous international
publications and encyclopedias.
